Leadership Long Beach:
Executive Quick Start
|
Leadership Long Beach designs each of
its programs to impact all participants by developing their personal
leadership skills while introducing and explaining the most important
political and social aspects of the Long Beach community.
|

|
Program Description:
Executive Quick Start (EQS) program, an
informative “Long Beach Overview,” is designed for new and incoming local
executives. Participants will develop knowledge of Long Beach,
its government, people, business and its diversity. The series will include panel
discussions and presentations on the local business community; key companies
and individuals; business services; city history and demographics; cultural
diversity; educational institutions; the arts and tourism; public safety and
government; and health and community services.
EQS creates
opportunities to meet and interact with leaders of the Long Beach community,
including government officials, and business executives, association
officials and neighborhood leaders. EQS graduates know where to find people
and resources that enhance their professional and personal experiences in
Long Beach – connections that would normally take years to develop are formed
in just one month.
EQS is held this in just five
sessions, held on consecutive
Wednesdays evenings in March plus an additional Saturday session which
includes a morning bus tour of the city. Dinners follow each session at local
restaurants.

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY ABOUT
EXECUTIVE QUICK START:
“The
Executive Quick Start series was a very informative seminar. I gained
knowledge about the Long Beach community and insight into the city and
its issues. I had the opportunity to meet the people who make Long Beach
work; the leaders of the city government, art groups, charities, and
business organizations. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to
make contacts in Long Beach for their professional life.”

“The
timing of the EQS program was perfect for me having just started working
in the City of Long Beach. I learned so much from the panels and found my

the entire program!”
